The Philips Respironics Simply Go Portable Oxygen Concentrator is the lightest portable oxygen concentrator on the market that offers both pulse dose and continuous flow settings. It weighs only 10 pounds and has a sleek, highly portable, and user-friendly design. This concentrator can be brought anywhere and is FAA-approved for in-flight use. The SimplyGo provides supplemental oxygen to the user through the tubing and a nasal cannula or the face mask, just like other POCs. 

Along with this POC are user-friendly accessories. A mobile cart, accessory bag, carrying case, and more help to provide a reliable and convenient experience when using the SimplyGo. 

Therapy Modes Available On SimplyGo Portable Oxygen Concentrator 

The Philips Respironics SimplyGo Portable Oxygen Concentrator can deliver therapy in three different modes. It is recommended to consult with your doctor about which mode is best for you. Patients can choose between these modes using the Mode (M) button.

Continuous Flow Mode

In this delivery mode, SimplyGo provides a constant flow of oxygen for up to 2 liters per minute (LPM). Additionally, this mode can work in tandem with a CPAP machine for those who also require CPAP therapy due to sleep apnea. This POC can simply be connected to a CPAP machine for treatment. 

Pulse Mode

The SimplyGo is able to identify when a person begins taking a breath when it is set to pulse mode. It delivers a pulsed volume of oxygen when a user inhales based on their settings. During exhalation, no oxygen will flow. As a result, since the motor is working less, the duration of the battery is longer. If a user’s breath is not detected after a period of time, this device will deliver a pulsed volume of oxygen and 12 breaths per minute. An alarm will also signal if a breath is not detected for more than 2 minutes. After 30 minutes of no breath detection, this device will automatically shut off. 

Bleep Mode

When using Bleep Mode, this device will deliver a patient’s prescribed settings only after their breath is detected. It delivers a soft pulse for those who are more sensitive to support users who may feel overwhelmed. The SimplyGo will revert back to continuous flow mode settings if there is no breath detected.

Battery Power Options for SimplyGo Portable Oxygen Concentrator

The SimplyGo provides a user-friendly experience when accessing this device’s battery. Since it is not internal, patients can easily take it out to recharge it when necessary. This mache can provide 1-3.4 hours of battery life, depending on a user’s prescribed oxygen settings. 

Along with a rechargeable battery, this machine also includes an AC power supply and a DC power cord. When plugged in, both of these can charge the battery. Charging time will vary depending on a person’s settings. Please note, some device settings may prevent the battery from charging while using DC power. 

Oxygen Settings for Respironics SimplyGo Portable Oxygen Concentrator

The Respironics SimplyGo can deliver 0.5-2 liters per minute while in the continuous flow mode. Pulse dose mode provides up to 6 pulse settings with a 12mL to 72mL range of oxygen per breath.
